france cuts sales tax on restaurant meals

this recession must really suck. you know things are bad when high tax france cuts taxes. the sarkozy run government has cut the sales tax on restaurant meals to 5.5%.

the bad thing about this guardian article linked to here on this blog, is that the journalist fails to identify what the value added tax (sales tax) was prior to this cut.

  1. Nothing changes. They give 5 cents with one hand, and take 5 dollars with another.
